Description
After the success of their first online workshop (available to view online by clicking here), Folk Friend founder Nye Farley and Celtic harp teacher extraordinaire Tiffany Schaefer return to show you everything you need to know to accompany Irish music on a wide variety of stringed instruments! This workshop will cover everything you need to know to learn a new tune, pick suitable chords by ear and make your accompaniment sound more professional with substitutions, chord runs, inversions, links, passing chords, incorporating segments of melody and lots, lots more! We’ll also be featuring a special section on how to play along in sessions with multiple accompanists, adding to the overall sound and feel of the music without competing or clashing with other rhythm instrument players!
This workshop will be live streamed over Zoom on July the 25th at the following times:
UK: 4 – 7PM
USA, EDT: 11AM – 2PM
USA, ECT: 10AM – 1PM
USA, EMT: 9AM – 12PM
Participants will be able to actively ask us questions and jam along at home, with dedicated break out sections for harpists and guitarists/other instrumentalists. You will also received a follow up email with written materials, tablature, sheet music and chord diagrams for everything covered in the workshop as well as access to a complete video of the course.
We’d love to see you on the day so please take this product through checkout now and we’ll email you a link to join us when the workshop begins!
